The main difference between an arcade racer and a racing simulation lies in the level of realism and physics. Arcade racers typically have simplified physics and controls, with an emphasis on fast-paced action and accessibility. On the other hand, racing simulations strive for a more realistic driving experience, with accurate physics, vehicle handling, and a focus on authentic racing mechanics. Driveclub is classified as an arcade racer because it prioritizes accessibility and fast-paced action over realistic driving simulation. The game features simplified controls and physics, with a focus on high-speed racing and visually stunning environments. While it offers some elements of realism, it does not aim to provide the same level of authenticity and accuracy as a racing simulation. **

Additionally, the advancement of technology has allowed for more complex and detailed racing games to be developed, which has shifted the focus away from the simpler, arcade-style racing games. However, there is still a niche market for arcade racing games, and some developers continue to create and release new titles in this genre. **
